Two are the studio's own properties, and they sell websites. The other four are complete sample builds, and the reel below plays each one in full.

Whole pages, top to bottom, with nothing cropped out.

Portfolios show you hero sections. This shows you whole pages. Each one is complete and published, and the list beside it is that page’s own running order: its real headings, in the order a visitor meets them. Keep scrolling. Each page plays out in full as you go.

The method

How a page gets ordered.

Same process every time. It is why the four pages you just scrolled came out so different from each other.

01

The questions come first.

Before anything is drawn, I write down what a person wants to know about your business and the order they want to know it in. A diner wants the room, then the plates, then the menu, then the hours. Somebody with no heat at eleven at night wants the phone number and nothing else. Those are different pages, and they are different because the questions are different.

02

The running order is the design.

You just scrolled four different running orders, not four skins on one template. That order is the decision the whole page rests on. It gets made in words, in a document, before any color is chosen. It is also the part a template cannot do for you, because a template does not know what you sell.

03

The page is built to the order, by hand.

No page builder, no plugin stack, no drag-and-drop grid deciding your layout for you. Hand-written HTML and CSS, built for a phone first, then checked on a laptop, on a slow connection, and with the text scaled up. That is why these pages load fast and nothing on them wobbles.

04

The price is published with it.

Every number on this page is on a live site you can open in another tab and hold me to. The scope, the exclusions, what an extra page costs, what happens after launch. If a price is going to change, the date it changes is printed next to it.

Open for business

Two properties that take money, not two portfolio pieces.

These two are mine. They sell websites, they publish what a website costs, and they carry the phone number that reaches the person who builds it. Everything quoted on this page is quoted from them.

MadeWeb.page, the live site
ONE-PAGE BUILDS · FOUNDING PRICE

MadeWeb.page

One page, built by hand, with the whole scope on the page before you spend a dollar.

A live studio property selling a single hand-built page. The entire ledger is published in the open: what the price includes, what it does not, how many revision rounds, who supplies the copy. The bounds are the reason the price holds, so they are printed rather than discovered on a call.

RightWeb.site, the live site
ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES · PUBLISHED PRICING

RightWeb.site

The price, the schedule, and a phone number that reaches the person who builds it.

The second live property, aimed at established businesses in Olive Branch and Greater Memphis. Four published prices instead of a discovery call, a build schedule stated as a commitment rather than an average, and a direct line to the builder: no account manager, no ticket queue.

The four businesses you just scrolled are invented. Everything you saw on them was made.

Nobody’s logo is borrowed. Nobody’s review is faked. Nobody’s photographs were lifted from a real shop down the road to dress up a demo. I wrote the words, made and graded the pictures as one set, chose and self-hosted the type. Even the menu prices were decided. Each of those pages says on itself that the business is fictional, and none of them are indexed, so nobody can mistake one for real. That is a harder way to build a sample. It is also the only way a sample proves anything.

The ledger

What the number buys, and where it stops.

Here are the edges: what is in at every price, what is deliberately not, what an extra costs, and whose name the domain ends up in.

The four rungs
Sprint$850

One page, built properly. For a business whose whole job online is to be found, called and located.

Build time · One to two weeks from the day you approve the proposal
Cornerstone$2,800

Up to five pages. For a business with more than one thing to explain — a service list, a menu, a team, a process worth walking somebody through.

Build time · Two to four weeks
Signature$4,500

Art-directed. For a business whose look is part of what it sells — type and photography chosen for you, not picked off a shelf.

Build time · Four to six weeks
Flagshipfrom $8,000

Custom interaction or 3D work. Only when it is genuinely the right job. Most of the time the honest answer is one of the three above — and I will say so rather than sell you this.

Build time · Quoted with its own dates
In on all four rungs, at every price
  • A written proposal with the price and the scope in it, before any work starts
  • Two rounds of revisions. A round is one itemised list, not a week of texts
  • You own all of it. Domain, hosting, analytics and logins in your name, on your accounts
  • No monthly fee just to keep the site online. A care plan exists, and it is optional
  • Changing your hours or your prices is never a charge. Not on any tier, not ever

The one made page at $399 is its own ledger: one revision round instead of two, and its own exclusions, listed below. It is published in full on madeweb.page.

Not in the $399 page · quoted apart
  • Bespoke design work — no logo, no illustration, no brand system built from nothing
  • A second page — extra pages are real work and get quoted on their own
  • Copywriting and photography — you supply the words and the pictures
  • Booking, payments, logins, carts, a blog you post to — anything with a database behind it
  • Rolling changes after the revision round — those are billed
  • Search campaigns, ads, running your social accounts
  • A rush — ask first, before you pay

What you can hold me to

You see the full draft before the balance is due

Half up front, half on the day it goes live. The first draft and your revisions both happen in between — so you are looking at the real thing before the second half is due.

A written proposal before any work starts

The price, the pages, what is in and what is not — in writing, within two working days of the call. If it does not fit, you hear what pushed it over and you are free to walk.

Launch day is the day you approve it in writing

Not before, whatever the calendar says. Handover — domain, hosting, every login and the launch record, in your name — happens the same day.

Before you call

Where I would be the wrong call.

Five kinds of business should hire somebody else, and it is cheaper for both of us if you find out here rather than three weeks in.

You need something with a database behind it.

A store with a hundred products, customer logins, booking that writes into a real calendar, a members area. That is a different job, with a different price, and half the time a different person doing it. It is the honest ceiling on what a hand-built page is for, and I will tell you when you have hit it rather than quote around it.

You need it live this week.

The schedule is a commitment. At the smallest size it runs one to two weeks from approval. A rush is sometimes possible. Ask before you pay.

You want to redesign it yourself every month.

Changing your hours or your prices is never a charge. Rearranging the page for the fourth time is billed by the hour. If moving things around is the fun part for you, a page builder you drive yourself will make you happier and cost you less.

You are buying purely on the number.

There is always somewhere cheaper, and if the price is the whole decision you should go there. I am not going to argue over ten percent. What you are paying for here is the running order, and the fact that one person built the whole thing.

You want a team, an account manager and a ticket queue.

There is one person here. That is the reason the phone number works, and the reason there is a limit to how much work can be in the room at once. Some businesses need the agency; if yours is one of them, I would rather say so now.

The next step

Show me your current site.

Call or write, and I will tell you what I would change and roughly what it would cost. You get that answer whether you hire me or not, and nobody adds you to an email list afterwards. Never had a site? Tell me what you make and who buys it. That works too.
